According to our fans the Great Lakes Mocha is quite possibly the world's best mocha. This ultimate indulgence is made with our REAL milk chocolate that we melt in each mocha. We add espresso and steamed milk, and top with whip cream to create a drink that far surpasses the average mocha. If you haven't tried one yet, don't delay. Featured Coffee: Ethiopian Legend has it that coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia when a goatherd noticed his goats were getting frisky after foraging on coffee plants. Ethiopia has been widely recognized for the tastiness of it's coffees. Most coffees are named after the country then region in which it was grown. Ethiopian Harrar coffee is grown on small farms in Eastern Ethiopia, Africa. A mostly dry-processed coffee, Harrars are labeled as longberry (large), shortberry (smaller), or Mocha (peaberry). Ethiopian Harrar coffee can have a strong dry edge, winey to fruit-like acidity, rich aroma, and a heavy body. Ethiopian Harrar coffee is often used in espresso blends to capture the fine aromatics.
Great Lakesuses all the various Ethiopian coffees throughout the year but you can almost always find a bag of freshly-roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe on our shelves ready for your home brewing pleasure.
Coffee Definitions : Acidity- A pleasant tartness, snap, or twist is what coffee people call acidity. Body-Body or mouth feel is the sense of heaviness, richness, and thickness at the back of the tongue when you swish the coffee around your mouth. Make Something With Coffee & Chocolate
